EOVH Shooters League results
The clubs indoor pistol shooters have been busy representing us in a number of regional leagues

26th Aug Just a bit of fun : 55 Yard Bench rest shoot
The club shooters who shoot the 25 yard Bench rest, decided that they would push the range out a bit and shoot an afternoon of targets at 55 yards. Obviously using the 25 yard target was a bit silly, so we decided to use the 17cm "Bisley" single target which is similar to the 10 yard indoor pistol target. Phil did a great job of finding the clubs old 17cm target holders, which allowed us to set up 2 lanes of targets and a shared set of sighters (which we used the other side of the target and used the 17cm 5 bull per target side

When we got set up and back to the firing line those targets did look a lot smaller.

The weather was not kind for us, at the start overcast and gusty, then mid session the forecast rain arrived and we had 30 mins of heavy downpour. Luckily we had previously put of the 55 yard cover, so most of us didn't get too wet
For a wet, gusty day and 55 yards, the scores where pretty good. We shot 10 pellets with 5 per target, which gave us a max possible score of 100

Next round is 2nd April
15th March - Walled Garden 25 Yard Benchrest event
The club ran the March round of our for fun 25yard Benchrest shoot. Weather was very gusty making a very messy wind all over the garden. Great news was rain held off, temp was about 7C. We have elected to follow UKBR scoring methods going forward so we expected to see slightly lower scores and a few less X's as the 2mm centre will now need obliterating for a X versus our previous only clipping it. However scores where still very good, with the highest score being with a 158/160 + 5X. 2nd place was 153/160 + 3X and 3rd was 150/160 + 2x

12th Feb - Walled Garden 25 Yard Benchrest event
The club ran the February round of our for fun 25yard Benchrest shoot. The weather was much nicer than last month, with about 8C and a gental breeze which the Walled Garden did its normal messing with as it bounced off the walls and hedges. Scores where pretty good, with the highest score being with a couple 160/160 and a bunch of X's
15th Jan - Walled Garden January 25 Yard Benchrest event
The club ran the January round of our for fun 25yard Benchrest shoot. The weather was extremely unforgiving for an outside shoot where the aim (no pun intended) is to hit a 2mm circle at 25 yards. It was about 3C and very windy with gusts up to 15mph. Walled Garden they did its normal "lets make the wind" extra confusing as it bounced off the walls and hedges. Despite the tricky shooting conditions, scores where pretty good, with the highest score being a 158/160 and 7X
